Graphic design, web design, UX/UI design, front-end development, digital design, graphic artist, multi-media graphic design, visual communications specialist and production graphic designer are all different career paths right? I am all of the above.
Sure all these positions are different but yet they are all the same. Core knowledge of design is integrated and is a standard for each of these positions. The difference is mainly based upon experience level and comfortability, with slight technical differences between the platforms. However, solid knowledge of Adobe products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, After Effects and Premiere will definitely assure necessary qualifications for any graphic/web design tasks.
Quite naturally a designer of any sort will need some creative edge. A designer is fond of the beauty of art in some aspect. Whether it be painting, drawing, photography or videography the goal of a designer is creating work that is visually stunning and conveys a story.
